So, I haven't updated in forever! I forget about this thing, honestly! And the past blogs have been somewhat depressing so, I want to make a more postive one! It is much needed!
Nursing school has been stressful, but I feel like I am learning a whole lot. I think God really did mean for me to be here and it has all worked out as planned. The main concern at the moment is Pathophisology/Pharmocolgy class...its tough! REAL TOUGH! I am enjoying clinicals very much! I have had some exciting, crazy, and rewarding days at the hospital. I like my clinical group, everyone is fun and the professor is great! I have made 2 close friends here at Baylor NS, Sarah and Bethany! We pretty much live together studying, doing homework, and of course, clinical paperwork every Friday night! It's nice because are schedules are exactly the same!
This weekend was wonderful! Will came to see me on Friday after he got off work. Unfortunely, it was OU/TX weekend and he was stuck in traffic for a long time! (I told him it was worth it for me, ha!) To back track a little bit, we are doing the long distance thing. We both think it is worth it. I love him, so why not! Well, long distance is really tough. It has taken a toll on both of us! The arguing was pretty consistent this past week. I can't even pin point why we even start these little fights! I hate them, he hates them! Ahh, well we are trying to figure it out and compromise in every possible way! I think we can fix everything! So, this weekend was great to finally be together again cause when we are together we get along so well and have the best time together. We had our weekend events planned and we were both very excited about them.
After I dropped Bethany off after clinicals I was headed home to be with Will and start our fun plans! Well, change of plans, my sister was in labor!!! She asked me to come keep the boys! So, of course, I was headed that way as soon as possible! Well, I went home to change out of my germy scrubs and when I got home Will had started our laundry, had already gone to the grocery store, and had lunch prepared for us! And had everything bought so we could cook dinner together! So so so very nice of him! Pretty amazingguy, huh? So, we took lunch to go and headed up the toll road to Elizabeth's house! Once we got there the boys connected with Will right away! Trey said "Wills (yes he said it with a "S", which was so adorable!) lets play hide and seek!" So, off they went! It was so fun seeing Will interact with my nephews cause he treated them well and was so great with them! Micah laid in Will's lap all evening watching cartoons! Then, he helped me put them to bed and he laid down with one and I laid down with the other. Cute, yes!
So, our Saturday plans were changed, but it was still enjoyable to be with each other and I can always spend quality time with my nephews! Liz didn't have her baby, they thought she was too early (at 36 weeks) so, they stop the contractions with IV meds and she made it back home late last night! So, I came home and went to bed because I was worn out! Sunday morning Will and I cooked an amazing breakfast! Eggs, bacon, strawberries, and pancakes! We had planned to go to the Fair, but we were too tired! It was a lazy Sunday for sure! We did go get cheesecake from the Cheesecake factory...mmmm!!
The fun weekend had to come to an end! Will was so wonderful this weekend and I couldn't ask for a better boyfriend! The good news is I have an easy week this week, no tests! Yay! And fall break for me starts Wednesday afternoon after my lab! I am headed to Waco to see everyone, seeing Elizabeth, then off to Austin to see Will!
